Jefferson Healthcare is a DNV accredited, fully integrated health care system. The hospital is a 25-bed, critical access care hospital that has complete 24 hour coverage by a physician staff of hospitalists, has top rated surgical services and includes an emergency department, laboratory services, swing bed unit, the latest in digital imaging and a comprehensive array of respiratory, physical, speech and occupational rehabilitation therapies.
Jefferson Healthcare has clinics located in the hospital that include a full service orthopedic clinic and an oncology clinic administering infusion services of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other treatments. The Outpatient Specialty Clinic provides wound care, sleep medicine, Coumadin and anticoagulation services. We provide the latest equipment in Diagnostic Imaging for outpatient and inpatient radiology services. We have wellness programs, a broad range of support groups and community education programs. Jefferson Healthcare was one of the first five hospitals in Washington State to be designated Baby Friendly by the World Health Organization and the only one in the country that is both Baby Friendly designated with all registered nurses accredited as Mother Friendly.
Jefferson Healthcare has nine clinics, a Surgery and Endoscopy Center, and a Home Health and Hospice office. The seven primary care clinics and the Surgery and Endoscopy Center are located near the hospital in Port Townsend and in Port Ludlow and Quilcene. The primary care clinics provide pediatrics, family medicine, obstetrics, women’s health, internal medicine and urgent care. We also have a Specialty Clinic that provides cardiology and pulmonary, nephrology and urological surgery and pelvic floor reconstruction.
Jefferson Healthcare is a public hospital district providing services to residents of east Jefferson County. It is operated as a municipal corporation with five elected commissioners who oversee the district’s operations.
