HJC has developed additional programs to help clients and their caregivers obtain services that provide extended supportive care and personal services. These optional programs are called Comfort Care and Compassionate Care. A client may choose to use one, both, or neither of the programs, depending on his or her individual needs or interests.
Comfort Care:
Comfort Care provides up to one complimentary therapy per week to provide additional physical and emotional support for our clients. These services are made available through the use of donated funds. These services may be arranged through our nurse–case managers. We currently offer the following therapies:
- Acupuncture
- Aromatherapy
- Cosmetology
- Massage therapy
- Therapeutic music
- Therapeutic touch
-
Reiki therapy
Compassionate Care:
Compassionate Care helps to support our clients’ goals of remaining at home by offering additional caregiver support to the family or friend caregivers. We have limited donated funds that we use, as available, to provide caregiver support as needed in the patient's final days.
