As the county’s largest employer and a major driver of the local economy, Jefferson Healthcare makes an ongoing commitment to support its employees and its community through education and job development. The hospital at Jefferson Healthcare acts as a training site for a variety of colleges and training programs, including:

Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington, which offers training for LPNs and RNs through the Rural Outreach Nurse Education program
Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington, which offers medical assistant, nursing, and phlebotomy training
Pima Medical Institute in Seattle, Washington, which offers radiology technician training
Seattle Central Community College, which offers respiratory therapy training

Jefferson Healthcare also offers a tuition assistance and reimbursement program for employees pursuing healthcare/advanced degrees and for employees who would like to continue their education. The Jefferson Healthcare Auxiliary offers scholarships for employees pursuing a career in a healthcare field.

Non medical education programs are also available locally through, Washington State University, Goddard College, Peninsula College, and others.
