Pay & Benefits

Our pay and benefits are very competitive with hospitals throughout our region. To ensure this, we periodically monitor regional and national pay practices.  Starting pay rates for new employees are based on relevant experience and in some cases, education, or certifications.
 
Some of our benefits include:
 
  • Medical, dental, vision, prescription, disability, and life insurance (with low employee premium contributions)
  • Enhanced medical benefits when using Jefferson Healthcare facility and providers
  • Retirement programs (457 salary deferral and after two years the employer-sponsored 5% plan) sponsored by Jefferson Healthcare through John Hancock
  • Paid time off accrual to use for vacation, sick, and holiday pay starting with 18 days for full time position the first year, and 25 days the following year
  •  Additional benefits (disability, life, and cancer insurance) through self-purchase from American Fidelity and flexible spending medical or dependent care reimbursement accounts
  • Employee assistance program through First Choice includes home purchase assistance, elder care assistance, limited legal benefit, and counseling services
  • Free use of rehab exercise equipment for employee and spouse (no children), before 8 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m.
  • Annual focus panel (cholesterol, etc.)
  • Tuition assistance program opportunity for employees pursuing health care/advanced degrees
  • When you refer an applicant that we hire, and they successfully complete their probationary period, you are eligible for a referral bonus of $50 to $500 through our referral bonus program.  See policy for full details.
