Hospice Foundation

TheHospice Foundation for Jefferson Healthcare,a 501(c)3, was formed to provide community education about Hospice and additional funding for end-of-life services. The Hospice Foundation Board governs the Hospice Foundation and is comprised of community volunteers and Hospice staff.

The Foundation raises funds so that hospice programs, not funded by Medicare or private insurance, are available to a greater number of people in Jefferson County. These important programs include:   

• Hospice Compassionate Care:

  Additional caregivers are provided to relieve the family caregiver for periods of rest at times of critical need. 
   

• Comfort Therapy Care:

  Offers additional comfort-focused treatments such as acupuncture, massage, hypnosis, music, therapeutic touch, Reiki and cosmetology  to support patients with non pharmacological pain and symptom management. 
   

• Bereavement Support:

  Bereavement support groups are offered two times a month in Port Townsend and Port Ludlow.  Each fall an annual memorial service is held for the entire community.

• Make a donation (your check should be payable to the Hospice Foundation of Jefferson Healthcare)
• Make an annual memorial gift
• Include Hospice Foundation in your estate planning
